With his works, which often appear suddenly in public space, Fabian Knecht (*1980) breaks out of the exhibition context and into everyday life. He changes patterns of perception and action, violates concepts of art and power structures, questions social conditions and norms through strong, provocative counter-images. The large-format book Antibodies, Knecht's first monograph, includes works from the last ten years. A text by the art critic Raimar Stange introduces the works; a conversation between the philosopher Dehlia Hannah and the art historian and curator Nadim Samman as well as a poem by Lukas Töpfer open up numerous other perspectives on the artist's complex work.
